Time passes us so very fast as we serve our veterans, Post, and the American that special dates creep up on us. Here is hoping that you all paid attention earlier in he year and marked your calendars for our March District meeting.
It will take a little sacrifice for the majority of us all to attend this meeting, but others have sacrificed five out of six, so let's show we are still Legionnaires, lets meet...

We are in March all of a sudden, which means your Post leadership should get it's members ready for the end of the administrative Legion year; translate that to mean end of year paperwork. This means getting members to provide your Second Vice, committee chairpersons, and your Adjutant, their personal data (contribution) in serving the American Legion and their community. Get miles driven, hours spent, and out of pocket money spend while performing service to veterans, (any) youth programs, civic programs, or acts of kindness helping others.
Adjutants should dig out old annual reports and share what data members should report, or shoulders will just be shrugged and there will be nothing provided to let Congress know we are still serving our Country. Don't allow your members to be ignorant of what service and contribution can be reported. That is an Adjutant's and Second Vice Commander's responsibility and challenge. Help your members help you.
Don't forget, if your Post is sending candidates to Boys State, your Post must commit, by sending the District Chairman, Hank Nagao, a notice of intent, and the fee by March 29th. More information will be provided at the District meeting.
Same is true for the Environmental Youth Conference program. Notify Joe Garza, District Chairman, and Post 669 Adjutant, or District Adjutant Gene Fanucchi, of your intend to send students, or if you have questions of he program.
